If your target audience is the younger generation and your business is about immediacy and moment information, then consider Twitter. However, if the majority of your customers are a bit older and your business is about gaining loyal customers and showing different sides of your business, then Facebook is the way to go. After you have chosen a platform, you’ll need to think on what type of material you would like to advertise.

 

The type of material you post will depend on which platform you’re using. For example, if you have decided to use Instagram, then posting pictures of your business and services will be the best way to advertise. But different platforms permit different styles of advertising. For example, on Facebook you can post pictures, schedule events, and make other types of posts--the perfect platform if your business allows for versatile advertising. But if your business is more about pictures and important messages, give Instagram and Twitter a go.

 

Lastly, make sure you keep your social media page updated. By doing so, not only do you keep your customers’ attention, you’ll also keep their interest by showing them how your business has grown and expanded. How frequently you make posts is up to you, as long as you’re making them.
